The Situation
Australia's Chain of Responsibility (CoR) laws hold every party in the heavy vehicle supply chain personally liable for safety breaches — including criminal prosecution. The compliance space was stuck on spreadsheets and paper logbooks. Chain Responsibility needed a technical leader to build software that fleet operators would actually use.
What We Did
- —Stepped in as Fractional CTO in 2022 to lead product strategy, engineering execution, and go-to-market planning
- —Conducted deep regulatory analysis of HVNL and NHVAS standards to ensure full compliance from day one
- —Architected and built CoRGuard — an integrated platform covering fatigue management, vehicle maintenance, digital inductions, and compliance analytics
- —Designed tiered SaaS pricing and multi-depot architecture serving owner-operators to enterprise fleets
- —Delivered a real-time compliance dashboard replacing manual processes entirely
